I wanted to point out the vibrancy of this community is great. We have doctors, lawyers, students, post-grads, wage slaves, business owners, US ex patriots, citizens of other countries, fiscal and social liberals, fiscal conservatives, country bumpkins and world travelers visiting these boards.FrankTrollman in a another thread wrote:Neeek is in law in the US. We all have a few things in common though: we all love to game or design games, we want to make the world a better place (even if we claw at each other about how to do it), the people are intelligent and articulate and we all enjoy bringing new experiences or perspectives back to the group. It is hard to find an environment that does not force people to become aligned to the common gestalt. This is one of them, mostly ;>
I know I have argued with a few of you here and annoyed more than one of you, but it is really out of boredom. My game design is on hold until my playtester becomes available and I have just wanted to keep my hand in. However, I wanted to point out that the level of knowledge here is high, and forces me to rethink my positions on all of these topics. I am going to bail out of MPSIMS for a bit and try to focus on my rules changes, but I didn't want to part without saying that the conversations have been great, and I will continue reading them. I think I am learning a thing or two as well, which is not a bad thing at all.
